I think you are dead on about Oprah. Despite her
self-centered interview style, faux sincerity, and
need to always be the center of attention, she gets a
free pass because of how mainstream society is using
her. I am glad Ludacris stood up (no pun intended)
against her.

You are indeed correct that sexism and racism have been long-standing fixtures of American culture. I would not put all of the onus of Oprah to educate, we as individuals have the responsibility to do our part in our homes and communities to say enough is enough.
